Castellina in Chianti

The town is located at the top of a hill and is completed by a gallery of charming shops and restaurants complimented

with good food and local friendly personalities. A walk along the town wall tunnel at different times of the day permits

you to admire the panorama of the surrounding countryside of Chianti. The tunnel goes around the town and contains the

delightful town centre itself divided by a main street, Via Ferruccio. Here you will find numerous shops, boutiques,

restaurants and palaces such as Palazzo Banciardi and Palazzo Squarcialupi, both belonging to local noble families.

Within walking distance of the town centre is an old Fortress with a high tower that offers a breathtaking view of the city

and surrounding countryside. The Fortress is also Castellina’s Wedding Hall, an amazing building to get married in, with

its history and magical atmosphere.
