difficult to find elsewhere. The town has retained much of its feudal atmosphere and appearance which gives an aura of
romance that presents itself as quaint and friendly.
Down the years San Gimignano has become an important meeting point for tourists traveling to or from Rome on the Via
Francigena, hence the locals are very friendly and welcoming to newcomers and visitors. There are several 14th & 15th
century masterpieces from Italian art to be seen in the town for those art lovers.
