Sorrento

A dramatic assemble of steep cliffs overlook the Bay of Naples.  As you head inland, the lush rolling hills are intersected  by the deep valleys, creating an intricate landscape that is beyond imagination.  Throughout the town, the orange and  lemon groves weave through the thickly wooded hills with the pastel-coloured houses that ornament the scene like jewels  on a necklace that surround the shoreline.  This town was granted the nickname "La Gentile" because of its gentle climate  and inhabitants.    Do you think Sorrento would be a wonderful wedding location in Italy?   Imagine this - You enter a medieval cloister that is part of an impressive 7th century Franciscan complex. Outside, you  smell the flowers from the nearby public gardens of the Villa Comunale.  The ceremony is performed outdoors in the  beautiful Cloister.   For the reception, choose either an 18th century palace for a large wedding or a small privately owned seaside hotel for a  smaller one.   Civil weddings in Sorrento - It should begin like a romantic tale with a cloister in an ancient convent dedicated to San  Francesco (St. Francis) with beautiful plants and exotic bougainvillea, flowers and the scent of the near sea, where  couples used to whisper romantic marriage vows…. Civil weddings in Sorrento are exactly this!  The courtyard of the  convent is a really pretty and cosy wedding venue which can be followed by a few steps out onto the beautiful and  famous terraces which overlook the gulf of Naples. Rich with scented flowers, exotic plants and ornamental trees, the Cloister is a place of tales, with its typical arch  structure and the melodious chirping of the birds that in springtime elect this spot as their favourite residence and seem to  transport you back in time, to a antique tale.  A second option of a civil wedding venue in Sorrento is the pretty Villa Fondi which is just minutes outside the town.  Even though you can take advantage of the amazing views of the sea and the bay of Naples, this classical 18th century  Italian villa is suggested only for outdoor ceremonies.  We highly recommend it for large events.
